Dog Walker Diaries - Celebrating Pride Month

This month is pride month, which in addition to celebrating whoever you are however you are, it's the remembrance of the Stonewall uprising in June of 1969. Trans women of color birthed a new paradigm into the world, one that praises and accepts authenticity as the norm. For a non-binary individual such as myself living freely as I choose, I am wholly grateful for the strength and courage of those that have been authentically themselves even in the face of fear, ignorance and hatred. Having said that, another group of beings cant help but be themselves and yet many are tormented and killed for existing - animals. Animals can teach us so much about celebrating life and who you are, and why living a judge-free life fully allows you to do so.

Animals can't help but be themselves. There's no indoctrination so to speak that renders an animal in doubt of who they are, in doubt of their place and connection to life.

A dog for example, knows no judgment of a being based on how that human identifies, who or how that human loves. Dogs respond to the intuitive survival form of fear, even if they may misjudge a situation as threatening to their lives. After the perceived threat is gone, they shake themselves off to equalize their electromagnetic field to that of Earth's. Because humans are often not taught how to manage information coming in and out of their systems, it gets stored in the body, showing itself when triggered. The type of fear that elicited is not that of intuitive survival, but insanity of the mind-body. This type of person will interact with life in accordance to how they feel inside, often projecting the same biases and judgments that spawn from these un-tended to areas.

I have to check myself every day - I'm not perfect. Being around dogs and other animals as much as I am reminds me to settle into my body without judgment by letting go of what causes me pain (i.e. other people's ideas I've taken on as my own). It's only in this way that I can truly be present with the life animating me and my surroundings, its only in this way I can know myself truthfully and celebrate!

And celebrate I shall - starting with this beautiful baby and their sunset.
